We Must Tell Others That We Trust God
Main Scripture: Book of Psalms 56:3–4
> “What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee… In God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.”
Introduction
In this world, many people openly speak about their fears, problems, and disappointments, but as believers, we must boldly tell others that we trust God. Our faith should not be hidden. When people see us standing strong during difficult times, they will know that our confidence is in the Lord.
Trusting God is not only something we feel in our hearts; it is something we must declare with our mouths and demonstrate through our lives.
1. Trusting God Is a Testimony
When we tell others that we trust God, we are giving a testimony of His faithfulness.
David declared his trust in God even while surrounded by enemies. He did not allow fear to silence his faith.
People around us need to hear:
“God will make a way.”
“I still believe God.”
“My hope is in the Lord.”
“God has never failed me.”
Your confession of faith can encourage someone who is losing hope.
2. Our Words Reveal Our Faith
What we speak shows what is inside our hearts.
Jesus Christ said that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. If we truly trust God, our words should reflect faith instead of constant fear and defeat.
Instead of saying:
“I will never make it,”
say,
“God will help me succeed.”
Instead of saying:
“Everything is over,”
say,
“God is still in control.”
Faith-filled words bring encouragement and strength.
3. Telling Others About God Brings Glory to Him
When we publicly trust God, we glorify His name before people.
Many unbelievers are watching believers carefully. They want to see whether our God is truly real in times of trouble. When we remain faithful during hardship, we become living witnesses of God’s power.
Your trust in God may lead someone to salvation.
4. Trust God Even in Difficult Times
Trusting God is easy when everything is going well, but true faith is revealed during trials.
Job lost many things, yet he still trusted God. Even in pain, he refused to turn away from the Lord.
No matter what situation comes:
Trust God in sickness.
Trust God in lack.
Trust God in disappointment.
Trust God in uncertainty.
God remains faithful in every season.
Conclusion
As children of God, we must not be ashamed to tell others that we trust Him.
Let your words speak faith.
Let your life reflect confidence in God.
Let your testimony encourage others.
When people see unwavering faith in us, they will know that our God is alive and powerful.
Closing Prayer
“Lord, help us to trust You openly and boldly. Remove fear and doubt from our hearts. Let our words and lives become testimonies of faith. Use us to encourage others to believe in You. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.”
