PROPHETESS MARY ACHIAA THE MOTHER OF BISHOP DR PETER ABABIO,  THE OVERSEER OF ENDTIME PRAYER GLOBAL MINISTRY ITALY AND BISHOP PETER ABABIO MINISTRIES GHANA..

LET’S GO.

*Deut 32:52* – _“For you shall see the land before you, but you shall not go there, into the land which I am giving to the sons of Israel.”_

*1. The final words of a 120-year journey*
This verse is spoken on the same day Moses dies. Deut 32:48-52 is God’s last conversation with him. After 40 years in Egypt, 40 years in Midian, and 40 years in the wilderness, Moses climbs Mount Nebo and dies within sight of the goal.

The Hebrew for “you shall see” is _tir’eh_ – it’s a seeing that’s personal, visual, but distant. You can taste it with your eyes, not your feet. That’s the sting.

*2. What exactly disqualified Moses? The sin at Meribah-Kadesh*
Numbers 20:7-13 + Psalm 106:32-33. God said: _“Speak to the rock.”_ Moses struck it twice and said, _“Listen, you rebels, must we bring you water out of this rock?”_

*Three layers of failure:*
1. *Unbelief*: Num 20:12 _“Because you did not believe in Me”_ – Moses acted like God’s word alone wasn’t enough; he added human force.
2. *Profaning God’s holiness*: He didn’t _“treat Me as holy”_ in front of Israel. Leaders are God’s PR. He made God look angry and reluctant instead of generous.
3. *Pride/anger*: _“Must we”_ – he inserted himself into God’s miracle. Psalm 106:33 says the people _“made his spirit bitter, and he spoke rashly with his lips.”_

The rock was Christ, Paul says in 1 Cor 10:4. Striking it twice messed up the type: Christ was to be struck once. After that, we _speak_ to Him. Moses broke the prophetic picture.

*3. The irony: Moses’ one public breakdown after decades of intercession*
This is the guy who talked God out of wiping out Israel (Ex 32:11-14). The meekest man on earth (Num 12:3). Yet one moment of anger + unbelief at the end cost him Canaan.

*Principle*: Finish lines matter. God judges the whole race, not just the start. 1 Cor 9:27 – Paul beat his body _“lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.”_

*4. Why “see but not enter” was both judgment and mercy*
*Judgment*: God keeps His word. He told Moses in Num 20:12 he wouldn’t lead them in, and God doesn’t bend His standards, even for Moses. If He let it slide, Israel would learn that leaders are above God’s law.

*Mercy*: Deut 34:1-4 – God personally gives Moses a panoramic tour: Gilead, Dan, Naphtali, Ephraim, Manasseh, Judah to the western sea, the Negev, the plain of Jericho. It’s like a father saying, “You can’t have it, but I want you to know I kept My promise to them.” And God Himself buries Moses, v6. No shame, no public disgrace.

*5. The typology: Why Moses _couldn’t_ take them in*
This is the deepest layer. In Galatians, Paul frames Moses = Law. Joshua = Jesus (same name in Hebrew: _Yeshua_).

– The Law can bring you to the border. It shows you God’s standard, defines sin, and shows you the promise.
– But the Law cannot give you rest or inheritance. Rom 8:3 _“What the law could not do… God did by sending His own Son.”_
– Moses dies on the east side of the Jordan. The Law ends before the inheritance. Joshua leads them across into rest. Hebrews 4:8-9 makes it explicit: Joshua gave them the land, but there remains a greater rest we enter through Christ.

So Moses not entering wasn’t just personal punishment. It was prophetic theater. God was preaching the gospel 1400 years early.

*6. The redemption arc: Moses _does_ enter the land*
Fast forward ∼1400 years. Matthew 17:1-3. On the Mount of Transfiguration, _in the Promised Land_, who appears talking with Jesus? Moses and Elijah.

He missed Canaan under the Law. He enters it through grace, with the Messiah, in a glorified body. God didn’t waste Moses’ faithfulness. He just changed _how_ Moses would enter.

*The raw takeaways:*

1. *Holiness isn’t negotiable*, even for giants. One act of misrepresenting God can have lifelong consequences.
2. *Leading people is terrifying* – you’re accountable for how you display God when people are watching.
3. *Seeing ≠ possessing*. You can be anointed, used, close to the promise, and still miss it if unbelief or anger rules you at the end.
4. *Grace has the last word*. Earthly consequences are real, but God’s final chapter for the faithful is resurrection and entry through Christ.

This verse wrecked Moses, but it preached the gospel to us.
