Authorities in Algeria have arrested three men who allegedly attempted to enter Spain while disguised as sheep, according to local security officials.

The suspects reportedly covered themselves in cotton like padding to resemble wool and altered their appearance in an effort to blend in with livestock being transported through the region. Officials said the unusual attempt was uncovered during routine border monitoring operations.

The men were taken into custody and are currently under investigation.
