NO ONE CAN CURSE WHAT GOD HAS BLESSED
Text: Book of Numbers 23 : 8
“How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the Lord hath not defied?”
Introduction
This verse was spoken by Balaam when Balak hired him to curse the people of Israel. But instead of cursing them, Balaam declared a powerful truth: No one can curse what God has blessed.
This message is for everyone who feels attacked, opposed, rejected, or threatened by evil powers. When God stands with you, no curse can prevail against your life.
1. God’s Blessing Is Stronger Than Every Curse
Balaam wanted to curse Israel, but he discovered that:
human power cannot overcome God’s protection,
witchcraft cannot destroy whom God keeps,
evil words cannot cancel God’s promises.
When God blesses a person:
curses lose their power,
enemies become powerless,
fear disappears.
The enemy may speak against you, but the final word belongs to God.
2. God Protects His Own People
Israel was not perfect, yet God defended them.
This teaches us that:
God is merciful,
God fights for His people,
God watches over those who trust Him.
David said:
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”
If God is your shepherd, you are under divine protection.
3. Every Evil Plan Can Fail
Balak prepared altars and sacrifices hoping to destroy Israel spiritually, but God turned the curse into a blessing.
What the enemy meant for evil:
God can turn into favor,
God can turn into promotion,
God can turn into testimony.
Biblical Examples
Joseph was betrayed but became a ruler.
Daniel was thrown into the lions’ den but survived.
Esther faced destruction, but God saved her people.
4. Live Under God’s Covering
This promise is powerful, but we must remain connected to God through:
prayer,
obedience,
holiness,
faith in God.
When we walk with God, we remain under His divine covering.
Conclusion
Numbers 23:8 reminds us that:
If God has not cursed you, no man can successfully curse you.
Do not live in fear of:
evil words,
witchcraft,
opposition,
intimidation,
or attacks from enemies.
Stand confidently knowing:
God is defending you,
God is protecting you,
God’s blessing upon your life cannot be reversed.
Prayer Points
1. Every curse spoken against my life, be broken in Jesus’ name.
2. Lord, let Your blessing remain upon me and my family.
3. Every evil plan against my destiny, fail completely.
4. Father, fight my battles and defend me.
5. O Lord, turn every curse into a blessing for my good.
Amen.
